Many places you will be inserting links already have it built in for you. WordPress, for example, has a link button. All you have to do is highlight the word you want to be the link and a new box will pop up into which you insert the URL of the desired destination. Very easy.
From time to time, however, you may run into situations where you need to set it up yourself. In order to make a link you need to use this HTML code:
<a href=” “> </a>
You put the web destination including the http:// in between the “ “ and you put the word that you want to be the link to be clicked in between the > <.
For example, if you want to say “Please click HERE to order” (where HERE is the link) you would set it up like this:
Please click <a href=”http://www.where ever.com”>HERE </a> to order.
Copy the code down somewhere and save it. I guarantee you will need it.
