Good News /Bad News For Build a Niche

Please read my diary of Build a Niche review from the beginning.

First the good news. I bought a fourth domain name for Build A Niche about a month ago and was able to put up the generic site in under 30 minutes! That included adsense ads as well as a Commission Junction ad above each page. The first time you put up a site it might be a challenge but once you understand what you are doing it is a breeze. The sites are all quick to load now as well which was a problem some people were having.

Now the bad news. I have been very busy with my job (the one I want so desperately to NUKE by learning how to make money from home) and I have had little time to devote to promoting my four sites. Because of that, I decided to do absolutely nothing for that 4th site. No promotion whatsoever. Zero. I thought it would be a good time to test to see if a stand alone site with no promotion made any money.

Well, it didn’t. In two weeks my site got no traffic. Not a little traffic mind you, but no traffic at all. Not one visitor. Zero. The same amount as the amount of promotion I put into it.

So that is not a good sign for Build A Niche. Of course it has only been two weeks. If you get lucky and buy a domain that gets some natural type in traffic you may do better. I didn’t expect to get a lot of traffic but I had hoped for a click or two.

I do believe a great way to use Build A Niche Store  is to attach it to an already up and running site that gets traffic. Lets say you have a site or blog about cats, movies, or anything that is sold on Ebay and lets also say that you have been wanting to set up a store alongside your site. However, you haven’t wanted to deal with shipping, inventory, dropshipping, payment options and everything else that goes along with putting up a store. This is the perfect situation for Build A Niche. Slap one of these stores up and work on making it fancy and professional and you suddenly have that store you have always wanted. And it comes hassle free as well!

As a test, for my 4th site, I have started exchanging links with other sites through I know it is a link farm but what do I have to lose? I get no traffic now and I just want to see if some links makes any difference at all. Although many of them are unrelated to my website subject matter, a fair amount of them are PR3, 4, and 5. I will stick with this plan for a month or two and see what happens. Or what doesn’t happen 🙁     BAD IDEA – Don’t do this!

I am not going to pay the $25.00. I can get a lot of links for free and I will only use them for the one site. No worries. Thanks.

So what happened with that fourth site? Did the link exchange help drive any traffic?

The Link exchange was a total 100% bust. I did probably 100 or so link exchanges and in the end my site was still getting no traffic so I stopped the linking. All the sites that want links are pure crap (excuse me) so I do not recommend it.
