RoboForm Review – Why Didn’t I Use This Sooner?

I had heard of RoboForm before but never got around to downloading it. It turns out that was a big mistake and I am kicking myself. This free program is a serious time saver. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and I can never go back. Ever. That is why I am doing this RoboForm review.

If you are like anything like me, you have so many usernames and passwords that it is impossible to keep track of them in your head. I have a sheet of paper that I keep adding to every time I get a new one. In this post I talk about my online poker experiences and how I played on more than 30 sites. I had a list of passwords like you wouldn’t believe! How I wish I had known about RoboForm then!

With this free RoboForm software, every time you log into a different site for the first time, a small pop up comes up asking you whether you want it to remember the username and password for that site. Check the “yes” box and you will never have to look at your cheat sheet again. Every time you return to that site, you click a button which knows what site you are on and automatically fills in your data.

Some of you may have multiple usernames and passwords for the same site such as Craigslist. No problem because RoboForm will remember multiple emails or usernames and their passwords for the same site. You just pick which one you want from a drop-down menu.

If you have more than one person using a computer that isn’t a problem either as you can fill in all the information you want for as many different people as needed. You can have all your usernames and passwords under your tab and your wife, brother, or father can have theirs stored under their tabs.

Roboform doesn’t just remember passwords though. It will also automatically fill out forms for you with the information you provide. You can fill in addresses, emails, birthdates, phone numbers, bank numbers, and many other types of information and when you come to a page that requests that all that, simply push a button and it will all automatically fill in. It is so simple it is amazing. If you do survey sites like CashCrate this free piece of software is an absolute must.

I tried cleaning my cookies off my computer to see if it would erase all the information I had entered in RoboForm and it did not. I do like erasing all my cookies and other Internet junk off my computer from time to time but I hate that after you do that all the fields are blank and you have to enter all usernames and passwords again. Not anymore now that I have RoboForm!

RoboForm: Learn more...

The one drawback is that RoboForm does install another toolbar on your computer. I don’t like having additional toolbars  installed and many of the newer software now days require that. This is one I will make an exception for however. I cannot tell you how much I love this software as this RoboForm review is a testament to.  Give RoboForm a try and I guarantee you it will be impossible for you to go back to your old pencil and notebook password system!

Oh yes, I totally agree. I’ve been using RoboForm for over a year, including a separate pen drive version, and I couldn’t live without it – an absolute must.

Oh yes, I also love RoboForm; and the added toolbar has not been a problem for me. Maybe it is different for other browsers; but with IE: there is a toggle switch (button), which allows you to hide the full toolbar) (along with a “Fill Forms” and “Save” buttons) added unto the browser bar.

If you think the free version is great… you should see the pro version. I’ve personally owned the pro version for over 4 years now, and it’s totally awesome. Besides that, their affiliate program makes you money, too.

How about UNLIMITED names and password saver as well as more identities, etc.

Great review. I’ve been using roboform for years. It seems you need to register on just about every website you visit and its hard to remember all the login names and passwords. Roboform has been a lifesaver for me. (besides, I always lose the little pieces of paper that I scribble my passwords down on)
