Overall, for the moment, it seems like I am going backward with Build A Niche Store dollar wise. For the month of August I made $80.07 through the Ebay affiliate program and $20.97 with Adsense. For the most part I am down to one BANS site as only the GPS site is doing any good.
I have been so busy with this blog that I have hardly put any effort into BANS at all. Just the other day I realized I didn’t even have a direct link to Ebay from any of my pages on the GPS site. That was really, really dumb as I have mentioned the $25.00 Ebay sign-up is huge if you can get several or more of those a month. I took about 45 minutes and put an Ebay banner and Adsense on every one of my pages on the GPS site. It looks good and hopefully a difference will be seen next month.
Now I need to do the same with the other two sites and figure out whether they are worth pursuing at all. Please see my frequently updated diary which is my Build A Niche Store Review that chronicles my ups and downs with BANS for the last three months.
On another note, if you are looking for a good cheap place to get a logo (or header) I have found it. A guy on the Digital Point forums has a huge thread with nothing but happy $10.00 customers. There are lots of examples in the thread of his work and this seems absolutely perfect for your BANS sites and at the right price too!

I was wondering if it will be more meaningful if the owner actually created the logo instead of getting someone else do it for him/her.
It seems that the real money is in the signups. I wonder if there is a way to give a person a $5 credit on their first purchase if they signup from your site. You end up with $20 per signup plus the commision on the purchase. Can it be done.

It probably can but that seems like it might take a bit of work to figure out the exact best way to do it. Once you figure it out let me know :)
The main problem with ebay, is that it seems that everyone now have already an account with them, that’s why signup credit is so high these day.
