Entrecard Gets Immediate Traffic

I just put up that Entrecard thingy on the right side and it seems like any blog will get immediate traffic from it. Not great quality targeted traffic but traffic nonetheless.

Mine has been upĀ 6 days and I have gotten about 30 hits a day from others who come here to drop their card or to see if they want to get in line to advertise on my site. Once you sign up, your site will immediately be listed and people will start coming to drop their card. They will probably not stay long but hey, hits are hits and a few people may stick around and read a thing or two.

As far as the ads themselves go, I’ve have had two of my ads up so far on other people’s blogs and only gotten a handful of visitorsĀ that clicked through to my blog so its not getting great results in that department. I won’t go into explaining how the whole thing works because I have seen that on too many other blogs already.

So far though, I am happy with Entrecard if it can keep people coming here to drop their cards. The better posts I write means the better chance they might stay longer than planned!

I came here through Entrecard. It seems that my site is doing really well for being up only 24 hours, hope you get so more traffic. :)

I saw this a few days ago but just put it up yesterday. Can’t wait to see how well it works. :) I already have about 10 people dropping cards.

As of writing this, I haven’t signed up with Entrecard yet. But after seeing lots of bloggers implementing it and writing about it, I might have to give it a try. The system seems pretty cool, but I don’t really know what keeps me away from it. I guess I’ll just have to test it out before I can judge it. In fact, I’m on my way to sign up right now!

I’m seeing the same thing. Quite a bit of traffic from Entrecard, but I don’t think it is very good traffic. Maybe I’m wrong, but my opinion is that people link in, find the widget, drop their card and vanish without really reading much along the way.

But hey, it’s free traffic and it’s not hurting anything, I suppose, so what the heck.

Melanie, I just did exactly what you described to your site: went in, dropped the card, and left. :)

I have had the Entrecard on my site for about 2 weeks now. It is my third highest traffic generator this week. It’s working great AND I have discovered some new blogs because of it.

I’ve been a member of Entrecard for a few weeks and while a lot of the visitors will not stay around long, that is not true for everyone. Since I’ve joined comments and links into my blog have went up.

I am back today because of Entrecard. I just love the fact it gets you visiting new blogs that you wouldn’t regularly. Andy, how much traffic are you getting from Entrecard?

I am making it a point to stick around the EC sites I find.

I read something (or a lot of things) on virtually every site I visit. I usually remember to drop my card too!

I’m a little frustrated by the lack of new posts on some of these sites. I go there every day and yet there isn’t anything new to read!

Some of them, I’ve read everything they have.

I believe that repeat exposure will eventually lead some folks to stick around for a little longer and if I do a good job of getting new stuff and varied stuff to look at posted to my blog, something will come of it all.

I have seen a similar surge in the traffic to my site and I wrote about it on my blog. The highest ever since I started in April of 2007. I’m happy with the whole thing so far.

It’s a bit of an adventure to see who will show up in my dropped cards, who’s blog I’ll find on the next widget on the next blog. It’s a bit like hopping around from one site to the other.

    I’m luvin’ it!

I also picked up quite a bit of traffic using this. Will the click the Amazon Ad’s and buy? Probably not.

Brought quite a few visitors to my site with this method of networking. Also, John Chow has bought advertising on my blog which is great!

I found your site looking for ways to build traffic to my site. You acutally came up listed high for the term “immediate traffic”. I’m going to give it a try.

Yes it helps as instant booster but it will not work longer. All the traffic resulting will not be useful. Only targeted traffic will make visitors to customers. I found many more tools in web.
