How To Make Money From Home | Ways To Make Money

Associated Content Is A Bit Dishonest

I may be wrong but that is my feeling right now. Apparently AC shut down their referral program on 9/30/07. Paid referrals had to register by August 31 and had to publish by September 30.

I never got any email telling me this nor have I been able to find anything on their website about it. It might be there somewhere but I sure haven’t been able to find anything.

I was wondering why I had not been paid for my referrals for several months and after numerous attempts at emailing AC, I finally got that answer. I now feel like a fool for sending business their way for nothing. Just to rub it in and make me a little more upset, their email to me ended with this line:

“Thank you for all of your referrals.  We hope you and the people you have referred enjoy using AC.”

Sadly enough, I was effected by this too. It made me quite mad as I was still putting in some advertising for my referral campaign. I did not see anything on their website, either. (though then again, I did not know that I had to be looking for it).

Luckily I wasn’t spending any money referring people.

That’s just not how to do business. They should have paid everyone out.

I noticed that too. I spent quite awhile on the site trying to find where it says about paid referrals. After awhile I gave up and thought I’d return to it again later but I forgot about it.

Now it makes sense. Thanks for that information. I’ll probably take down my referral link. Not just because they don’t pay but because I don’t use them myself. Although I’ve always meant to give it a try.

Do you write articles for them as well?

I won’t say they are quite dishonest. But there is noway of course to prove it. However, their public business practice of not paying enough to their writers (who make money for them) is highly deplorable. Here is a review: Unethical business practices of AC

associated content is only good when you want to make $20-$35 a day of easy money and want to supplement your income. But, AC is REALLY dishonest and fake as hell. They shut down the referall program because they didn’t want to PAY…even though their site is worth millions. The only reason I won’t slam AC so bad is because they do allow writers to make money even if the articles are kind of crappy.

The problem is, most REAL writers go there expecting to make $20 an article. AC need to take down their fake advertisment ($3-$40) per article. Try $2-$3 per article. This is the average. It use to be done you could get at least $4. I think because of the recession, AC has been getting too many writers than they are willing to pay for. Well, you could always go there to make an extra buck.

Very sorry to hear about that. I have written few articles for them, but, they don’t pay exactly what they promise to pay.
