DayJobNuker on MySpace

I broke down and opened up a MySpace account for DayJobNuker which you can find here I want to use it to get some traffic from MySpace to this blog. The problem is I have NO CLUE how to do that. I have about 38 “friends” all of whom are pro poker players as that is one of my interests.

Can someone tell me how to get people to view that page from MySpace and then hopefully some will come here? I’ve heard MySpace is great for generating some extra traffic but I need to know how. Can anybody help me? Please?

Wow … I didn’t realize anybody used MySpace anymore. That would be my guess as to why you’re having a hard time pulling any traffic … the ghost town effect.

I’ve been there, most I ever got was a couple clicks and I did everything from make a custom myspace to creating cute little stick figure pictures to use in the comments. I think at most I got three clicks. I don’t think the traffic is worth it personally anyway.

MySpace is not great traffic, but depending upon how you search for friends it can help. Post some information on your blog about What this site is about and what it intends to help people accomplish. nothing to long as the attention span of a lot of MySpace users is very short. Then do a search for friends based on your target demographics and request they become your friend. Do this a couple of hundred times a day. People will look at your profile and some will click your link.

This site might have some luck joining the various groups too.

Do this all the old fashioned way and don’t go out and buy any automated scripts or you will wind up with a deleted account and it won’t help you out.

    Thanks everyone,
It sounds like Myspace can be a lot of work. Maybe it’s not worth it. One thing I don’t have right now is a lot of time.

I think myspace could pull traffic, but considering their userbase, I don’t know if it’d get the best results for this type of site.

Myspace is a great place to get targeted and long term traffic. But it takes time to build especially the part you need to add friends.

There are 2 ways of marketing in myspace: Use friends adding bot that will add frineds to your account automaically. Or join groups and build yourself as a niche expert to stand out from the crowd.

I prefer the second one because you can get targeted traffic fast. You can look at this layout because they is using this layout to get traffic from myspace:

It really depends on building up a large network of friends with Myspace. For example, find groups on Myspace related to Poker or betting, if that exists there. I have a feeling it’s a sensitive area with them due to the online gambling/money factor. You’ll have to tread lightly, because I had a Monetizer profile 3 times and it was removed each time 🙂

    I got one for you.

I having been receiving a few comments from visitors promoting an affiliate program that I am already a member of it.

Apparently they did not read my blog. For if they do, they would have seen that I am promoting the affiliate program on my sidebar.

Eh, MySpace is a pain in the ass. Not good traffic, and its overrun with spam and the like. I can’t stand it!

myspace has really lost its touch recently but its still a popular venue and millions of people still use it, but more and more people are going to facebook or bebo as the spam can get pretty bad. Still a good source of traffic.
