If Anyone Can Help Me

figure out what is wrong I would appreciate it. With the posting of my latest post I cannot open up this site in Internet Explorer but Firefox works. I believe it is this way for everyone. I tried taking down my newest post but that did not work.

In IE it says “Internet Explorer cannot open up the Internt site http://dayjobnuker.com operation aborted”

No error number or anything.

I have now deleted the post but the problem did not go away. I love the Internet…………………….not!

If I change templates the problem goes away so it is due to this template. I might be giving up for the night I have had enough.

Update: the problem seems to have mysteriously gone away for me by itself…but who knows it may come back anytime. Here is the email sent to me by theWild1 (who’s site right at this moment is not working at all-it loads and then becomes a blank white page) Thanks to everyone for trying to help me.

This is theWild1 from over The Wild Investor. I finally found the solution. My site now works again in IE.

For some reason the Google Analytic’s code stopped functioning properly. It was located in my footer.php. What I did to fix this was add this piece of code to each <script> file in my footer.php and it all worked fine.

<script type=”text/javascript” defer=”defer”> I added defer=”defer” to the original code.

This is where I found the solution – http://lists.evolt.org/archive/Week-of-Mon-20070219/188387.html

Hopefully this fixes the problem for you.

It’s a sign. IE is pronounced “Aiiiyeeeee!!!!” as in the last thing heard from the person falling off the cliff.

Uhmm….that’s weird. It opens it, but then that message comes up like you said. Do you know anybody who knows coding?

    kinda crazy….

[...] changed anything since last time I checked. It just says operation aborted. Another site I go to dayjobnuker.com has this same problem [...]

Apparently the problem is probably something with javascript code. The problem is figuring out what line the problem is. I haven’t changed anything on my site, yet the page still don’t work, so I have no idea what happened. Hopefully it will just fix itself.

Bummer..My earlier comment when into the ether!

Check your setting in WP under options. Confirm the URL for the blog and WP address are correct and an extra character (such as a period) have not sneaked in.

Otherwise, disable all plug-ins and see if problem goes away. And I mean all of them! (my frustrating issue 90 days ago was with the Google sitemap plug-in). If the problem goes away, start to reactivate each plug in and test until you find the one that breaks it.

What was the fix to the problem? I would love to know in case it happens again, or to my sites. Thanks!

Glad you got it fixed. However, you still have JScript showing

Hmmm…never seen that one before. The javascript solution seems reasonable. Glad to see that it “cleared-up”.

I don’t like IE. Try Opera or Maxton, they work much better
