Article Marketer
You can read my Article Marketer review and now it has been over a month and a half since I joined their free trial. I have had a total of 4 articles approved and every article automatically gets the “we have hiccups” delay. I have searched for each of my 4 approved articles with quotes around the titles and I cannot find any one of them anywhere on the Internet. So, in a month and a half I still show zero benefit from Article Marketer.
In addition, you can read the comments after my review and you will see a lot of negative things being said about the service. I still hope I can benefit from them but so far nothing.
Yahoo Publisher Ads
You can read about me signing up for Yahoo Publishers Ads and they have performed similarly to Google Adsense. I do not have them after every old post like I did with Adsense as they don’t work with the Shylock Adsense Plugin. I only have them after a couple of the popular posts and on the sidebar.
I think they are a good alternative to Adsense especially because you do not have to worry about being smart priced (at least as far as I know). You can get paid by them via Paypal and the payout level is $50.00 instead of $100.00 with Adsense.
DayJobNuker and Google SERPS
For about 3 weeks now this site has been consistently listed on Google which is a change from the last month or so. It looks like they gave me a page rank of 2 which is better than the 0 I had been saddled with for so long. This site ranks anywhere from 11th to 15th for the search terms “work from home jobs“ and “work at home jobs” which I wish I had been targeting sooner. If I can continue to move up and get onto the first page of Google and change/add some things on my blog, I think it may be worth my while.
Again, I don’t know why I have 340+ subscribers as there will be less and less for you here. I want search engine traffic and not regular readers (sorry). As someone you might or might not know always says, “it is what it is”.

I feel your pain!!!! I have been trying to get search traffic for so long and still nothing.
if you don’t want regular readers, stop writing good posts.
you need to right posts that rank well but don’t offer much advice, thereby necessitating your searcfh engine users to click on ads to get away!
Yours is the first blog I’ve visited who said straight up that you didn’t want me to become a regular reader! I guess you’re honest at least.
DJN–I am glad to see you getting some new legs for this blog. I think your focus is a smart one.
As far as article marketer– I have the lifetime paid subscription and I have finally gotten 2 articles to go thru and can see about 40 links for each one.
So maybe the free version is not that good, but the paid one works if you are willing to put up with some frustration.

Well, if the free version is not very good, that is a strange way for them to get customers. I don’t think giving away something that doesn’t work is going to get them many signups for the paid service.
I do get frustrated with free trials that really don’t show what the actual product is capable of. I want to be able to fiddle around with something and in an hour know whether or not I’m going to buy the full version or uninstall it.
I am just waiting for the time when Yahoo publisher will be open for the world..
