Is there a secret to how to make money with paid surveys online? Do people really make money taking free paid surveys or is it all a scam? I can tell you I usually make between $75.00 and $100.00 every month from doing almost nothing. That’s right, I don’t ever fill out surveys anymore and yet I still make money from free paid survey site CashCrate. That is hardly a scam. It’s what I call passive income!
When I first started out I did fill out the surveys and that is how I got my first $10.00 payment. I am slowly moving up the rankings for those search terms as well as others like “work at home” and “work from home“. The higher this blog gets for all those search terms, the more traffic it will get and the more referrals I will make. All of this is done with very little effort from me other than to write a post like this every now and then and do some linking with the anchor text of those search terms I want to rank for.
That is the main way this blog makes money right now. By ranking well for certain words I can get free search engine traffic and get people to click on a few ads. The longer this blog is in existence and the more effort I put into ranking well for certain words, the more money it will make. That is how I essentially do nothing (or very little) to continue to make money from CashCrate. I don’t need to bother filling out the surveys anymore.
If you want to get your own referrals, there are different ways to do it. Some people start a blog like this one and try to get people who want to work from home to sign up. Other people become active in the many “ways to make money online forums” and place their affiliate link in their signature so that every post they make can be seen by others and potentially get referrals. Others print out business cards with their referral links on them and distribute them around town. In the end, I am sure there are dozens of creative ways to get referrals for CashCrate or any other free paid survey site.
In the end, it is apparent that CahsCrate is not a scam as advertisers willingly pay money to get people to fill out survyes and give them the information they are looking for. I get a real check from Cash Crate every month and I cash it just like I would any other check. You can make money by doing the surveys but it is much easier to make money online by getting referrels and having other people do the work for you. That is the real CashCrate secret and the way to get a passive income stream going from free paid surveys.
I signed up on a survey site pretty recently, but haven’t really paid much attention to it since. I guess I never really thought it would be worth my time to fill out a bunch of surveys. But your referral technique makes alot of sense in how they can drive money to you without you having to do anything. I think I’ll focus on brining in referrals and see how that works out.

Interesting post, I find it surprising how people are skeptical about paid surveys. It is only market research companies trying to collect data like you said. I actually spend around 10 minutes a day filling out paid surveys, and make around $120 a month, I know its not that much, but for the time it takes me its not too bad.
