What are people trying to find when they look online for legit work from home jobs? I am seriously asking this question because I don’t know the answer. I think it is safe to say that most people searching don’t really know what they are looking for.
The fact is that the Internet is an enigma. People hear a lot of things: they hear about the scams, about people making fantastic amounts of money, about people selling things on eBay and Craigslist, and they hear all sorts of other stories about people making money online. At some point they start to wonder whether there is something in it for them.
Many people are able to work part time or even full time at home because of the Internet. They have real jobs though, with real companies, real bosses, real deadlines, real healthcare, and real salaries and wages. The Internet is just the way they connect to their job and it allows them to do many of the things from home that they would ordinarily do at the office. The Internet has been great for that aspect of allowing more moms and dads to spend some time at home while having a “real” job.
Should those real jobs that allow workers to work full or part time from home be called “legit work from home jobs”? Is that what people are trying to find online?
It is my guess that 99% of the people looking for home jobs are NOT looking for something like that. I think they are really trying to find ways to make money online and hope that it is or becomes something they can live off of. I think they are chasing a dream that they think is out there and yet they have absolutely no clue what types of money making opportunities may be available. That is why many of them are so easily scammed like with the Google jobs from home scam.
Because they don’t have any idea of what they are trying to find and what possibilities there are online, they are easy targets for all the quick money making systems you see advertised all the time. Because the Internet is so complex and the possibilities so endless, there is a seemingly unlimited number of ways to convince people that you have the “real” money making system that they should buy into.
I honestly don’t know if there are any legit work from home jobs out there that are just like people have envisioned in their mind. Perhaps something like doing call center work from home would be something that would fit the bill.
There are lots of different ways people make money on the Internet but to call them legit jobs might be stretching the meaning of the word “job” and what we are used to it meaning. Internet opportunities rarely come with healthcare benefits, 401k’s, sick leave, and all the other things we associate with jobs. So, when people go online to look for home jobs, are they really looking for jobs or are they really just looking for a way to make some money?
