There Is No Product!

First of all I will tell you I have not joined and the reason I have not joined is because from everything I can tell, it is a site that is 100% MLM (multi-level marketing). In other words, it is a pyramid website that has no value at all.

They have a very professional animated video that makes you want to join. It costs $19.99 or $49.99 depending on which level of membership you want. But what are you signing up for? What are they and how will you be making money?

There Still Is No Product!

The ONLY way you make money on DollarDrip.com is to refer other people! That’s it. You refer them and get them to pay and then they refer others and get them to pay. If you sign up for the $19.99 membership you get $9.99 per person you refer. If you pay for the more expensive $49.99 membership you get $14.99 per sign up.

I have looked everywhere on the site and scoured the Internet for more information on how you make money on DollarDrip and there is nothing. The site is about a year old and the owner (Steven McCall) has gone around to many blogs leaving this comment : “You should include DollarDrip.com somewhere within this article. It seems that it the best option for college kids looking to make some extra money nowadays.”

He has written Ezine articles, ArticleBase articles, done free press releases, has a Facebook and Twitter page, and left numerous comments in forums. If you search in Google for “dollardrip.com” you will see almost everything that comes up is his handywork trying to pump up interest in his site.

So, before you sign up to DollarDrip.com, understand what you are signing up for which is the priviledge of signing up other people to the “community”. There is no ebook, no system, not anything at all within the site that will help you make money. All there is to do is try to make money by trying to get other people to sign up.  That’s it.

It is especially hard on the boomer generation as this article details because employers are less likely to hire older workers than they are younger workers. Many older workers are now out of work, near or at retirement age, and they haven’t bothered to save any money. To all you baby boomers that never saved anything…..that was pretty stupid of you wasn’t it?

One of the places you can always find work is on the Internet. However, you have to know how to type and you have to learn how to log on before you can do anything meaningful on it. The older you are though, it seems the less likely you are to embrace new technology. While that is not a hard and fast rule, it does appear that older people are much slower to use things like cell phones, iPods, and the Internet. That is, if they ever get around to using them at all.

So, we now have a generation of people that comprises a huge segment of our population who are going to be relying on everyone else as they have not adequately prepared. They are finding themselves in debt, out of work, and stupidly thinking they can rely on Social Security to get them through to the end. It just isn’t going to happen and now their problem is our problem.

Many of them could actually use the Internet to make money at home and at least bring in some sort of a second income. That is if they knew how the Internet works. Too many of them have failed to adapt to the new technology and now find themselves with little hope of catching up. From the ones I have talked to, they don’t even want to catch up either. This may be a misrepresentation of the baby boomers but I think enough of them are lagging behind that it is a problem.

Many of them can use the job search websites but that isn’t too productive for them right now as the jobs just aren’t out there. They need to be able to be creative and make their own jobs online. That is easier said than done but it is darn near impossible if you hate the Internet and don’t want to learn about it. At this rate, the baby boomer generation is not only going to be left behind but it is going to drag us down with it.

Think then, what it would be like to be in this job environment and be a felon, ex felon, convicted felon, or anyone who has had trouble with the law. Things like that can follow you around for the rest of your life and right now it has to be darn near impossible to get a job with that on your resume. It is a buyer’s market for employers right now and they have the luxury of choosing only the very best and most qualified to hire.

This has got to be one of the most difficult times in our nations history to find jobs for felons. Employers are seeing that for every job they have, there are many applicants to choose from. How then, can someone with a felony on their record compete?

As I see it, the best job opportunities for any person with a black mark or a felony on their record revolve around creating their own job. This means going out an finding a need and filling it and the best place to do that in 2010 is clearly the Internet. Online, you can do business and be 100% anonymous and never fear being rejected by an employer for your past transgressions. The Internet is a great equalizer as all people can compete no matter where they live or who they are.

There are many ways to make money from home via the Internet and the more skills and ideas you have, the better your chances. If you can draw you might be able to make money as a graphic designer online. If you can write you can make money by doing freelance writing for people online. If you have technical knowledge and understand (or can learn) how to design websites you might be able to make money doing that for people. Even now in 2010, many small businesses don’t have a web presence because they don’t know how to get online. People all over the world make good money by putting up websites for people and companies.

While there might not be many job opportunities for felons in the traditional working world, the Internet is there for everyone. Nobody is going to ask you who you are or where you have been. If you have the desire to work and some ability to go along with it, anyone can learn how to make money from home. It won’t be easy but it can be done. It is entirely possible to make a job seemingly out of thin air right on the Internet and right now in this economy, it might be your best option.
