Update: I was told to remove the ad due to copywrite law but you can see what I am talking about by clicking this link and going to the bottom of the sales page. You can also Google “ispeedway” to get some very revealing reviews of the program.
___________________________________________________
See the ad above? Do you see anything fishy about that ad? Let me tell you that I have NOT DOCTORED it in any way and it is taken right from the Ispeedway.com website when you go into order.

Do you see the first 5 words in #1 being lighter than the rest? And all of #3 is in lighter text and coincidentaly that is the part that tells you that if you don’t cancel you will be dinged a $99.95 one time charge and then $69.95 per month. Section #2 is all in dark print and it is outlining how you can cancel and owe nothing if you are not satisfied. Nothing about you paying money so dark print is fine for that part I quess.

I would never sign up for anything like this just based on this ad alone! It seems obvious that they are trying to divert your eyes to #2 and hope you skip by all the parts that say how much you will owe! That is if you get that far down on the page as the part I have copied comes at the very bottom of the sales page, predictably.

I then went on to read these reviews of Ispeedway which all said to save your money. It seems like the customer service is bad and the product is less than satisfactory as well. Many people interested in using dropshipping to increase their eBay sales seem to have been the ones to try ISpeedway.com out. There are many legitimate ways to make money online and using a dropshipping service along with eBay is one of them. However, it is hard to find products that are new and exciting that people want where you can get a high enough mark up to actually make money after you pay all the eBay fees.

If you want to save yourself from headaches like this one, you should sign up for free to IM Report Card. That way you can report on the scams you have fallen for and save others from falling into the same Internet marketing traps. You might also go there before buying any new ebook or money making “system” to see what others are saying before you buy.

NOTE: For those of you who have no sense of humor I must tell you this post is a JOKE. If you would like to see my how I make money for real with proof, please visit my CashCrate review page where I have both check and video proof of 3 of my checks totalling over $3,000.
____________________________________________________________________________________

No wait, make that “I earn over a million dollars a year and I will show you how you can too!”.

Or maybe this is better: I earn $6,000 a week and will show you everything. This is not a scam, here is a copy of my tax return to prove it (I wave a blank tax return in the direction of the camera).

How about this headline from the fake National Inquisitor: College Graduate Makes $2,818 Per Month in Online Venture (bottom of the story leads to a link to Google Works)

Then there is this Bill Bartman guy who has been spamming my blog nonstop for a couple weeks now who claims: “I’m Bill Bartmann, the self-made billionaire who is, for a very limited time, willing to mentor YOU on how to CASH IN on the trillion-dollars in Bank-Owned Assets that are wreaking havoc on our economy”. He also claims he doesn’t need to work 60 or 70 hours a week. What? If you are a billionaire you don’t need to work 1 hour a week!

Just for fun you should type into Google “ways to make money” or “how to make money”. Then look to the right of your screen to see all the paid ads. Those ads are freakin hilarious and if you want a good laugh click on some of them.

Many of them have videos with some schmuck telling you he’s not scamming you and you should buy his rapid profit system or some other crazy lie. The buzzwords these guys use just keep on flowing:

Thank you for landing on my website. Please watch the video below which will show you how you can amass a fortune with my proprietary make money online secret system that I use to make more than a million dollars a year. You will find this easy money system that works on autopilot while you sit at the beach to be something that anyone can do with no out of pocket investment. If you use this $1000 a week legitimate easy money cash machine to kick start your online business so you can blow off your day job, you will be able to work from home part time while you make a full time income. With a once in a lifetime business opportunity like this, you might be thinking it is a scam but this is 100% scam free with proof and if you act now (there are only 45 spots left) then you will be included in my inner circle and taught how you can change your life. Yes, dear friend, this is your chance to get in now before time runs out and start making amazing money with this magnificent money maker which you can put to work in just 6 minutes. You will make $300 in the first 10 minutes and $100 cash per hour after that so don’t delay and get our free money back guaranteed Google kit that will show you how I now make $9000 or more from home.

No wonder so many people have so much trouble getting started making money online. There are a lot of land mines out there!

First of all, the biggest scam or scheme of 2009 is not going to involve Bernie Madoff who stole over 50 billion dollars from his clients. By far the biggest scam of the year, and in the history of the United States, is a little something called the stimulus bill of 2009. Never before have the taxpayers of America been scammed out of trillions of dollars. But hey, we voted for the guy for President right, so who is really suprised? You get what you vote for.

Now on to the topic of work from home jobs and online money making scams. There are so many different programs, schemes, systems, and ways to make money ebooks out there that is is hard to differentiate the real ones from the “scams”. If there were only one way to make money online, it would be easy to tell which ones worked and which didn’t. But there are about a million ways one can go about making money on the Internet and just about as many opinions. What might work for one person might not work as well for another. Just because something doesn’t work for someone doesn’t necessarily make it a scam.

There is an online money making system / membership site called Site Build It. Now, right from the start I want to say I know very little about it other than I have looked at it in the past, seen the hefty $300 price tag, and run the other way. There is a new review here -> Site Build It Review that seems to be creating quite a stir. The comments following the article are where all the action is and where things really get interesting. It appears all the folks from Site Build It have banded together to defend their “community” and are attacking anyone who criticizes their beloved overpriced product. The comments after the review are vicious and relentless. Kind of reminds me of the Liberal left in this country.

To me, a scam is something where you buy into a product or idea and have no chance of getting anything out of it. For instance if you want to work from home stuffing envelopes then you will no doubt get scammed. Another typical scam is assembling products from home and now there is a another scam called Google jobs. These ”ways to make money” are not real and they are set up and carried out by someone who’s sole intention is to take your money and give you nothing in return and no way to recoup your losses.

Site Build it doesn’t seem to fit this model at any level. From what I can tell, it is just a way overpriced place for newbies to try to get started making money online. For $300 per year you get a domain and access to a membership site where you supposedly have lots of information that will get you started. Then if you want a second website it is another $300! A third website will cost you another $300! WOW! Have they ever heard of free Blogger blogs? Would anybody who has any experience making money online ever join? Definitely not. Is it worth $300 per year for what you get? It could conceivebly be worth it for the first domain because you get the membership site but $300 for each additional domain / website? LOL LOL

It seems though, that if you are persistent and take it seriously, you can probably make money with Site Build It. They don’t just take your money and run or give you absolutely nothing in return like a real scam would. What they give you is extremely overpriced, but they do give you a means to succeed if you really want to and are willing to put in the time. Whether it is enough to overcome your $300 starting hole you have dug yourself is open to opinion.

My opinion is that Site Build It is not a scam but just another one of the many online programs set up to overcharge noobs because they just don’t know any better. When you are naive and clueless, you are always open to being taken advantage of and overpaying for things. Kind of like where we are in this country right now with the bailout. Are the bailouts a scam? I sure think so. Is the stimulus bill a scam. I know that one is.
