First of all, the biggest scam or scheme of 2009 is not going to involve Bernie Madoff who stole over 50 billion dollars from his clients. By far the biggest scam of the year, and in the history of the United States, is a little something called the stimulus bill of 2009. Never before have the taxpayers of America been scammed out of trillions of dollars. But hey, we voted for the guy for President right, so who is really suprised? You get what you vote for.
Now on to the topic of work from home jobs and online money making scams. There are so many different programs, schemes, systems, and ways to make money ebooks out there that is is hard to differentiate the real ones from the “scams”. If there were only one way to make money online, it would be easy to tell which ones worked and which didn’t. But there are about a million ways one can go about making money on the Internet and just about as many opinions. What might work for one person might not work as well for another. Just because something doesn’t work for someone doesn’t necessarily make it a scam.
There is an online money making system / membership site called Site Build It. Now, right from the start I want to say I know very little about it other than I have looked at it in the past, seen the hefty $300 price tag, and run the other way. There is a new review here -> Site Build It Review that seems to be creating quite a stir. The comments following the article are where all the action is and where things really get interesting. It appears all the folks from Site Build It have banded together to defend their “community” and are attacking anyone who criticizes their beloved overpriced product. The comments after the review are vicious and relentless. Kind of reminds me of the Liberal left in this country.
To me, a scam is something where you buy into a product or idea and have no chance of getting anything out of it. For instance if you want to work from home stuffing envelopes then you will no doubt get scammed. Another typical scam is assembling products from home and now there is a another scam called Google jobs. These ”ways to make money” are not real and they are set up and carried out by someone who’s sole intention is to take your money and give you nothing in return and no way to recoup your losses.
Site Build it doesn’t seem to fit this model at any level. From what I can tell, it is just a way overpriced place for newbies to try to get started making money online. For $300 per year you get a domain and access to a membership site where you supposedly have lots of information that will get you started. Then if you want a second website it is another $300! A third website will cost you another $300! WOW! Have they ever heard of free Blogger blogs? Would anybody who has any experience making money online ever join? Definitely not. Is it worth $300 per year for what you get? It could conceivebly be worth it for the first domain because you get the membership site but $300 for each additional domain / website? LOL LOL
It seems though, that if you are persistent and take it seriously, you can probably make money with Site Build It. They don’t just take your money and run or give you absolutely nothing in return like a real scam would. What they give you is extremely overpriced, but they do give you a means to succeed if you really want to and are willing to put in the time. Whether it is enough to overcome your $300 starting hole you have dug yourself is open to opinion.
My opinion is that Site Build It is not a scam but just another one of the many online programs set up to overcharge noobs because they just don’t know any better. When you are naive and clueless, you are always open to being taken advantage of and overpaying for things. Kind of like where we are in this country right now with the bailout. Are the bailouts a scam? I sure think so. Is the stimulus bill a scam. I know that one is.
